MENTORING People tend to think that they should be able to deal with everything themselves and that when they take a new job, they should know all the answers, however, this is frequently not the case. A mentor is someone who can advise and provide impartial advice, and who may be able to help you work out a long-term strategy. I am a qualified mentor, and can provide mentoring in certain aspects of life or work for a period that will be agreed between us at the start. Mentoring is not about providing you with all the answers but about assisting you to find them for yourself. Mentoring and coaching are similar, but not the same, although there is some overlap.
